Green Onyx
Green onyx (green onyx), is a silicate mineral of the chalcedony family, with characteristic white or translucent concentric circles. Known since antiquity, it is especially famous in jewellery, for its strong green unaltered color, durability and hardness of 6.5-7.0 of the Mohs scale.
For the jewellery we use the "heart" of the rock, the peripheral rock, it is an excellent material with a variety of colors, worked like marble, on coating sheets, or to create objects of value. Persian Arabs and Turks used it in the making of elegant handicrafts, but also in decorative motifs, taking advantage of its ability to let light pass through the stone.
Greeks of pre-classical times and Romans used onyx in jewellery, but also for protection against depression.
The stone of prudence and hope, the green onyx stress, gives strength and optimism to the wearer.
Stone of the 4th chakra, of the heart (Anahata Chakra), stone of the Air, affects our dispels anger, anxiety and jealous thoughts, adding the harmony of inner feeling to the Sense.
In Feng Shui, it is placed in the East, in the Bagua of Thunder and Wood.
Affects the signs of Aries, Capricorn, Libra and Taurus especially in stressful situations.
