Blue Chalcedony

 Archaeologists, during excavations in central Australia discovered chalcedony stones carved and carried thirty thousand years ago from other parts of the continent.

Chalcedony, basalt and slate stone, were the material for the first cutting tools in human history. Chalcedony was one of the first stones to become jewellery for worship or decorative purposes.

Blue chalcedony is quartz rock, cryptocrystalline silicate material, sister stone of sea chalcedony. Stone full of energy strengthens communication and between people.

It is considered the stone of brotherhood, of bonds. Its action is stimulating, strengthens emotion and good judgment, enhances popularity. Utensils made of blue chalcedony were found in temples of ancient Egypt. In the palace of Knossos, archaeologists discovered seals made of chalcedony and agate.

Orators in Greece and Rome wore a blue chalcedony amulet or ring for eloquence and clear thinking. Stone associated with the signs of fire, Libra, Leo and Sagittarius, stands as a helper in the popularity of Gemini and Aquarius.
