Black Onyx

The Gods, to protect them from decay and the eyes of mortals, enclosed them in small shiny black stones,, who sowed them all over the earth.
Ancient Greeks considered the black onyx a stone of strength and fertility, a guardian and protector of newborn children. The Romans carved the shape of Mars in black onyx for protection during battle. In China, even today they carve wishes for wealth and fertility in small balls of black onyx to offer to newlywed couples.
Opaque chalcedony, a stone to agate, is often recognized by translucent or white concentric circles. His home countries are the Czech Republic, Brazil, Mexico, Arizona, Russia and in recent years China.
